Nicholas' follow-up visit with the surgeon went well. His belly button has healed nicely. He has a small hernia, though, in his belly button that could possibly require more surgery later. The doctor said there was a good chance (about 80%) that he would simply outgrow it in the next 4 to 5 years. If not, the procedure sounds very simple, so there's really nothing to worry about.
