April is doing nicely. She sleeps through many nights, but does seem to prefer a bottle every 3 or 4 hours. Yesterday, she got her first set of shots at Dr. Broillet's office. She stays awake for several hours at a time and seems to enjoy watching us do whatever we're doing. She smiles a lot and except for feeding time, she never cries. Nicholas really seems to enjoy having her around and is doing everything he can to help!
Things have been sad and a little hectic around here since mom died last month (Harriet). Nicholas has been very sad and often talks about missing Nana. He seems to really understand that she's gone. The ironic thing that we've all been thinking about is that if April had not been born a month early, she would never have met mom. Mom went into the hospital on April's actual due date. I guess some things are "meant to be."
