Yeah, we know nobody's going to believe us, but April has started mimicking sounds, just like her big brother Nicholas used to do at this age (2 1/2 months). April definitely mimics us when we say "hi" and she moves her mouth and tongue as though she is trying to say "hello," but so far she has not said hello. Hopefully, we'll get to capture one of these moments on video and upload it to our site.
Nicholas continues to love his sister. He enjoys helping feeding, burping, and playing with her.
And when she cries, Nicholas always tells us April is singing.
April occasionally sleeps through most of a night, and still only cries to let us know she's hungry. Normally, when she's awake, she appears alert and simply watches and listens. Sometimes she "talks" but I think it's just because she likes the sound of her own voice.
Interestingly, I recently pointed out to Jen that Nicholas no longer refers to us as "mommy" and "daddy." Instead, he's calling us Mom & Dad. We're not sure why he thought to change but I guess he's just growing up!
More as it develops...
